Many cultures believe in spirit animals; the idea that an animal helps to protect and guide a person on their journey. A spirit animal will often reappear in one's life, and brings calmness and clarity for that person.
Guide Dogs are real life spirit animals. They warn, encourage, protect and guide their Handler.
Guide dogs are incredibly important, giving people who are blind or have low vision, freedom and independence.
Sisters Emma and Kendall are fundraising for the Blind Foundation as part of Team Guide Dogs, and will be supporting them by taking part in the ASB Auckland Marathon: Run the City in October 2018. Emma will again be running the Half Marathon. Kendall will be doing the 12km Traverse - her first time on the course.
Together we aim to create awareness and raise money for the Blind Foundation Guide Dogs.
As part of our fundraising efforts, we have set up this online shop to sell pet and pet-related items. Many items for sale also make great gifts, so that you too can help spread the word of the good work that the Blind Foundation does. The more people that know about the Blind Foundation, and Blind Foundation Guide Dogs, the greater their impact. You can also make a donation to our Team Guide Dogs donation page here.
50% from every online purchase is donated to Blind Foundation Guide Dogs.
